Intro Level:

An intro class is designed for complete beginners or people who are new to dance. It focuses on basic movements, foundational techniques, and understanding the rhythm or style of dance. No prior dance experience is required, and the pace is usually slower to help people learn at their own speed.

Beginner Level:

A beginner class is for people who may have attended a few classes or have some basic experience in the dance style but still need to focus on the fundamentals. Dancers at this level are still learning simple steps, basic coordination, and gaining confidence in their movement. It’s typically a step up from intro but still focuses on building essential skills.

Intermediate Level:

An intermediate class is for dancers who have a solid understanding of basic steps and techniques and are ready to explore more complex movements. The choreography and movement patterns may be more challenging, and the class will usually require a better sense of timing, coordination, and fluidity. Dancers at this level are working on refining their technique and increasing their speed, strength, and performance quality.

Open Level:

An open level class is suitable for dancers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced. It’s often more fluid in terms of the pace and complexity, allowing the instructor to adjust based on the participants. While beginners may be able to take the class, they may find certain moves or sequences more challenging, while more experienced dancers can work on refining their technique or adding more flair to their performance. It’s typically used for more flexible, general dance styles like jazz, contemporary, or hip-hop.
